Our city. Our community. Our commitment.

A Brighter Charlotte

Faith that reaches beyond our walls.

At The River Church Charlotte, we believe the expression of our faith extends beyond the sanctuary. As a Kingdom-centered community, we are committed to making a meaningful difference through compassion, connection, service, and the love of Christ.

01Family & Community

Annual Family & Friends Day

Each summer, The River brings family, friends, and our community together for a time of joy, fellowship, and connection. It’s a celebration of relationships and a reminder that church is more than a place — it’s a family.

Every summer
02Fellowship & Unity

The KOINONIA Gathering

Hosted annually in October, The KOINONIA Gathering brings believers, ministry leaders, and churches together for worship, biblical teaching, fellowship, and Kingdom-centered connection.

Rooted in a shared commitment to unity and spiritual growth, the gathering creates space for meaningful relationships and collective Kingdom purpose.

03Evangelism & Outreach

Faith in Action

Through our Evangelism Ministry, The River reaches beyond its walls to serve individuals experiencing homelessness and extend practical support throughout our community.

Demonstrating the love of Christ involves more than words.

It is expressed through compassion, service, genuine connection, and a willingness to meet people where they are.

04Kingdom Connections

Beyond Our Congregation

Our commitment to the Church extends beyond our own congregation. Through ministry visits, fellowship, and relationships with other churches, we celebrate the shared work of advancing God’s Kingdom.

We believe encouragement, unity, and meaningful connections among congregations help strengthen the wider community of faith.

05Local Church Community

One City. Many Congregations.

Charlotte is home to a diverse community of churches serving families, neighborhoods, and individuals. As part of the broader body of Christ, we recognize the many congregations sharing the message of faith throughout our city and surrounding communities.
